THE STAR VISTA
SINGAPORE

Singapore’s first naturally cooled mall

Located near Buona Vista MRT Interchange in Singapore Star Vista offers high-class shopping experience with 260,000 square feet of retail space and a great variety of restaurants as well as a huge Performing Arts Center for the West Singapore visitors. This unique mixed building designed by Andrew Bromberg (Aedas) was completed in 2012. A glass canopy and open-air plaza as well as open interior public spaces are saving 30 percent of the air conditioning costs in the mall.

The facade maintenance is easy and safe with Rostek monorail system. The multi dimensional shapes of the building requires Rostek climbing solutions for the whole building.  About 900 meters of climbing monorail track along with electric trolleys painted with proper RAL colours takes the maintenance unit up and down along facade. In addition there is one horizontal piece of the track on the very highest tower of the building.

  • Opened in 2012, and awarded Green Mark Gold by Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority.
  • Location: One-North, Singapore
  • Year of completion: 2012
  • Nearly 900 metres of horizontal and climbing monorail track and 15 Roslift 500 trolleys by Rostek
  • The climbing monorails can be seen under the front roof of the main entrance, but the tracks disappear nicely on the upper levels around the tower and the roof. The facades of the airy building are amazingly easy to access with Rostek equipment.
