Festival Walk is a shopping and entertainment centre with more than 200 shops and over 25 restaurants. The complex also includes 11 cinema screens and the largest ice-skating rink in Hong Kong.

There are a total of four separate monorail systems for accessing vertical facades by using standard suspended platforms. To be able to access the enormous skylights Rostek designed and supplied two special gantries. "The River Skylight" running through the whole building has a glass roof area of more than 1500 m2. This skylight is accessed by a 23,2 m gantry, which can be moved between 7 different bays. The gantry can be taken into four parts and stored away when not in use. "The Canyon Atrium" is an 80 m long skylight that is 17 m wide in one end and 27 m in the other. This 1750 m2 skylight was the ultimate challenge of this project. The glass roof and the end wall windows can be accessed by a fully motorised custom made suspended platform telescoping from 17-27 m. Together with its four hoists, moving vertical tower and all special features this aluminium construction weighs almost 2 tons.
